Privacy Policy
Last updated October 11, 2026
Jenisan Tools is a set of business tools (projects, tickets, content, customers and leads) for organizations. It's run by Jenisan, Inc. (“Jenisan,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It covers tools.jenisan.com, the content we serve to websites through Jenisan Tools embeds, and the emails we send.
The short version: we use your information to run Jenisan Tools for you and your organization. We don't sell personal information, we don't show ads, and we don't use the records your organization keeps in Jenisan Tools for our own marketing.
1. Who's responsible for what
Your account. We're responsible for your account information: your name, email address, password and settings.
Your organization's data. Organizations use Jenisan Tools to keep their own records: projects and tasks, support tickets, website content, customers, leads and the people connected to them. For that information, the organization decides what to collect and why, and we process it on its behalf. If you're one of those people and have a question or request, contact the organization that has your details first. We'll help them respond, and you can also write to us at support@jenisan.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider), time zone and preferences.
- Organization details: organization name, time zone, members, their roles and the tools the organization uses.
- Your work in Jenisan Tools: projects, stories and tasks; tickets and their conversations; articles, links, media and collections; customer and lead records, notes, follow-ups and files.
- Invitations: the email address and role of each person invited, and who invited them.
- Messages to us: anything you send our support team.
Information from embeds and forms on websites
Organizations can show content from Jenisan Tools on their own websites, and may collect information through forms (for example, a lead capture or support form). When someone uses one of these, we receive what they enter and basic technical details needed to serve it.
Information collected automatically
- Log and device information: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and timestamps, used to keep the service running and secure.
- Cookies: cookies that keep you signed in and remember which organization you're working in. We don't use advertising cookies.
- Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies.
Information from services you connect
If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account's name and email address. We don't receive your Google password.
3. How we use information
- To provide, secure and improve Jenisan Tools, including signing you in and applying your organization's roles and permissions.
- To send service emails: invitations, account confirmations, password resets and notices about your account or organization.
- To respond to support requests.
- To prevent abuse, fraud and security incidents, and to meet legal obligations.
5. How long we keep information
We keep account information while your account is active, and organization data while the organization uses Jenisan Tools. When an organization or account is deleted, we delete or anonymize its information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep it for legal, security or billing reasons. Backups are kept for a limited time and then overwritten.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is controlled in the database itself, so each person can only reach the organizations they belong to, within their role. Invite links are single-use and expire. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and tell us right away at support@jenisan.com if you suspect a problem.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can update your name, time zone and password under Settings › My settings.
- You can ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by writing to support@jenisan.com.
- If your information was added by an organization, it controls that data; we'll pass your request to them and help them respond.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR. We'll respond to requests as those laws require, and we won't treat you differently for using them.
8. Children
Jenisan Tools is a business service and isn't meant for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
9. Where information is stored
Information is stored and processed in the United States. If you use Jenisan Tools from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to the US.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we'll tell account holders by email or in the app before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
